Despite being billed as a "Special Edition" this 2004 CARLTON MEDIA release is pretty much the same as the previous UK release, which was also released through CARLTON a couple of years earlier.

The differences they want you to pay for to upgrade to this "special edition"? The menus have been redone, there are now English subtitles and some "tv spots". You might be expecting these "tv spots" to be television trailers but they are actually just clips from the film, presumably lifted from some electronic press kit or promo video. Given that the DVD already features the entire film, you might indeed wonder why there's a need to include clips (which don't even include title slides or captions to introduce them).

The back cover promises OVER 30 MINUTES OF EXTRA'S (note to CARLTON - the plural of EXTRA is EXTRAS, not EXTRA'S) but we totalled them up to less then 24 minutes. To be fair, the original theatrical trailer, as listed on the back cover, would push that figure up a bit but we couldn't even find that particular extra.

All in all, probably a pretty blatant attempt to sell fans a copy of a film they already have.
